January - March
Each Saturday, the Parent Board provides lunch for the team. Every week, the theme is different. We'd like for everyone to use the SignUp Genius below to bring an entree, staple items, or supplies. We also need help serving food during the team lunch to ensure everyone gets fed!

Build Season is the most intense portion of our year. This is when the team designs, prototypes, builds, programs, and practices driving a robot that will compete in the annual FRC game. There will be a large flurry of activity, and we need "all hands on deck" to ensure we hit our goals. To maintain travel status with the team, students need to attend at least half of all of the build season meetings.
Monday 6 - 9 pm: Normal Build Season Meeting
Attendance is expected and checked at this meeting
Tuesday 6 - 9 pm: Normal Build Season Meeting
Attendance is expected and checked at this meeting
Wednesday 6 - 9 pm: "Special Ops" Meeting
The Wednesday Special Ops meeting is an extra meeting each week for specialized, focused work. Not all sub-teams will need to attend these meetings. The sub-team leads will provide schedules and announcements on when their team members need to participate in this meeting.
Your student will not need to attend this meeting unless their sub-team lead or mentors have asked them to.
Thursday 6 - 9 pm: Normal Build Season Meeting
Attendance is expected and checked at this meeting
Saturday 9 am - 4 pm: Saturday "All-Day" Build Season Meeting
Saturday meetings count as two (2) meetings: one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
The Leadership Team will meet from 4 - 5 on Saturdays to recap the day and prepare for the following week.
Please bookmark the Team Calendar page, as all meeting times and events are cataloged there.
NOTE 1: As we progress through the build season, focus will shift to different sub-teams. We will, with advance notice, let students know when they are not required to attend. Those meetings will not count against their attendance requirements.
NOTE 2: We realize that winter provides weather-related challenges. If school is closed on a meeting day, the meeting is cancelled. Furthermore, the mentors reserve the right to cancel meetings out of an abundance of caution. Mentors will announce meeting cancellations in Slack and via email.
School comes before robotics! While this is an exciting and, oftentimes, stressful time for students, we have rules in place to ensure students maintain their grades during build season.
To promote positive academic performance, the lead mentor conducts random grade checks in which students are required to show their current grades.
We provide a separate, quiet room for studying and homework. Many of our students voluntarily use this space throughout the season, even if their grades are not at risk, and we actively encourage this behavior.
Students are expected to maintain a C average and not receive any F grades.
Students having a grade of a D or below will spend a mandatory 30 minutes of study time at the beginning of each meeting they attend.
If they arrive late to a meeting, the first 30 minutes of their time will be spent in the homework room
A failing grade will result in the student being asked to reduce their time spent at robotics to focus on grades.
If there is a noticeable slippage in grades (even if not specifically putting a student in jeopardy), the lead mentor reserves the right to discuss with the student and/or their parents/guardians.
